JOHANNESBURG – Operation Dudula has swelled into the Johannesburg suburb of Orange Grove.
The group is accusing undocumented foreign nationals of criminal networks and taking jobs meant for locals.
On Sunday, demonstrations also turned ugly as police fired rubber bullets to disperse crowds.
They are also accusing police officers of being part of the drug trade and under-age prostitution.
The group said its fight against illegal migrants committing crimes will not stop.
It targeted undocumented immigrants in the Johannesburg suburb of Orange Grove on Sunday.
Operation Dudula’s Nhlanhla Lux Dlamini said, “if there are teenagers in any building turned into prostitutes we will take them out. The cops are clearly scared to do so or maybe they are part of it because on a daily basis police get bribed by drug dealers.”
“We are here to operate, we are here to go were the problems are because South Africa is our country to protect…the responsibility of safety of our children and women is all in our hands, future is in the hands of South Africans. Period.”
