JOHANNESBURG – The Proteas squad that will face India in a T20 series has been named.
This as the side returns to international cricket for the first time since last year’s T20 World Cup.
Tristan Stubbs receives his maiden Proteas call-up.
The right-hand, middle-order batter put in impressive performances playing for the Gbets Warriors in CSA’s T20 Challenge.
The 21-year old notched up 293 runs in seven innings, including twenty-three sixes.
Anrich Nortje meanwhile has been medically cleared to return from injury after being sidelined since December last year.
Wayne Parnell is also back in the T20 format for the first time since the England tour in 2017.
The Proteas will be in India for a five-match series from 9 to 19 June.
