JOHANNESBURG – Over 200 wanted suspects have been arrested in Lenasia in the south of Johannesburg.
Police are in the area as part of Operation O Kae Molao.
There have also been arrests for drunk driving, and drug possession, and several illegal shebeens have been shut down.
“Our detectives have collected 239 suspects, starting from yesterday in the evening until this morning, and 42 of those arrested suspects have been arrested in the Lenasia area,” said Gauteng Police Commissioner Elias Mawela.
“The second phase of our operation with our massive roadblock as you can see is an integrated roadblock.”
